World’s First Photograph

While searching for Apple rumors I came across an Engadget article about the world’s first camera going on display in Macau, China. (See image below.) It reminded me of what is said to be the first permanent photographic image (above) taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1827. It was an 8 hour exposure of some farm buildings and the sky.
