Pilfered Magazine
This is such a wonderful idea. Photographs are submitted from around the net by the community. The magazine editor, sometimes a guest editor, whittles them down and creates an online magazine filled with inspiring artwork. Credit is given at the end for those pieces which credit was provided. Those submitted without accompanying credit are considered pilfered. The projects tag-line is “By the people, for the people.” The first paragraph on their About page is a kind of mission statement:
PILFERED is a place where art buyers, photographers, artists and designers alike submit their favorite visuals pilfered from the web to share with one another. Founded on the spirit to inspire and aid in communicating ideas and concepts, PILFERED Magazine aims to assist in speaking the thousand words – visually.
The founders will no doubt receive a ton of heat from the usual copyright bigots. Check them out while you still can at http://pilferedmagazine.com.
