A Polaroid Every Day
This man took a polaroid every day from 1979 until the day he died in 1997. Go to the online gallery here to browse through them. Then visit mental_floss for an article on what it all means and how these images were discovered/curated. Some of the photographs make you laugh, some make you weep. It really is something incredible what polaroid made possible with their instant film. What is digital though? Is it not instant? Can we not see the result immediately? Can we not print directly to a printer immediately? Yes all. But polaroids have a certain look, as most older film does. Anyone know of a Lightroom preset called polaroid? Would love to play with it. Or maybe I’ll create one.
NOTE: I chose the image below as an example because I’m in the market for prescription sunglasses and I think I picked up that same pair today at Lens Crafters. Aviators are coming back baby.
