Fireworks at Channelside
We had a similar spot for the fireworks show in Channelside as we did last year. This time I had the D300 with 16-85mm lens and took advantage of the wide angle so I could choose composition in post. We had a slight wind blowing east that is noticeable in the images but couldn’t be seen live. The moon also presented a bit of distraction in some of these. I removed it in all the ones I could. The last photo is of me, beer in hand, poised with the shutter release cable I picked up at Ritz only hours before. Without it, these really would not have been possible. (The one used last year was made for the Nikon D80 and is not compatible with the D300.)
